In this episode, I’m taking you with me to Ghana!

In honor of Avatime Dzogbefeme E.P. Primary School’s completion, the Pencils of Promise school that was built from Jess Lively Creative donations, I traveled to visit the community and participate in the inauguration ceremony and ribbon cutting.

In addition to “the Lively Community school” opening celebration, Pencils of Promise also showed me how new schools are being built, and I toured other PoP schools with all of the teacher support and sanitation programming they provide as well.

So much work goes into building a school from scratch, and I’ll show you every step of the way — from making the cement blocks to training the teachers.
